day 1 :
Depart from Baños for a 3-hour scenic drive through the diverse landscapes of the Chimborazo province, from the wetlands of the Abraspungo Valley to the arid highlands.
Keep an eye out for wild vicuñas roaming freely in the Chimborazo Wildlife Reserve.
Arrive at the first refuge and begin a 30-minute acclimatization hike to the second refuge (5,000m / 16,404ft).

Enjoy lunch at the refuge, followed by a safety briefing and hands-on climbing technique demonstrations with your expert guide
After dinner, relax under a sky filled with stars and prepare for the midnight ascent
day 2 :
Midnight departure for the 7-8 hour climb to the summit of Chimborazo (6,263m / 20,548ft)—the highest peak in Ecuador and the closest point to the sun
Conquer the challenging ascent and witness breathtaking panoramic views at sunrise
Descend back to the refuge, enjoy a well-earned lunch, and return to Baños
