Who are we ?
ReGeneración Travel Agency is a locally rooted travel agency in Ecuador, creating regenerative journeys that connect people, cultures, and nature across the Amazon, Andes, and Galápagos.
The agency born from the collaboration between Astrid, a French tourism professional, and Jey, an Ecuadorian Kichwa kayaker from the Bellavista community in the heart of the Amazon. Together, we created ReGeneración as a reflection of our shared respect for nature, culture, and meaningful human connections.
Based in Tena, Ecuador, in the Napo region of the Amazon Rainforest, we design immersive travel experiences that invite travelers to reconnect with the natural world, engage with local communities, and slow down in a more conscious way of traveling.
Our journey began in 2024, two years after we met and after Astrid returned from a deeply transformative experience in Ecuador. Inspired by our shared love for the environment, Indigenous knowledge, and local cultures, we decided to build a travel agency rooted in our values: ethical, sustainable, and regenerative travel.
Today, our journeys focus on Ecuador’s most powerful regions, from the Amazon rainforest and Indigenous territories to the Andean highlands and the Galápagos Islands, creating experiences that go beyond tourism and foster genuine understanding and respect.
Why ReGeneración ?
ReGeneración represents a new way of traveling and a new generation shaping the future of tourism. As part of Generation Z, we grew up in a globalized world, deeply aware of environmental challenges, cultural diversity, and social responsibility. Ethical consumption, respect for differences, solidarity, and ecology are not trends for us—they are foundations.
We believe travel should be a space for exchange:
of ideas, stories, traditions, and knowledge. Through our own journeys, we have been fortunate to meet people who opened their homes, shared their cultures, and trusted us with their vision of the world. ReGeneración exists to honor those encounters and create space for others to experience them too.
We are also a generation of creators and entrepreneurs, curious, passionate, and committed to building projects that make sense. Through ReGeneración, we aim to offer an alternative model of tourism: one that supports local livelihoods, protects ecosystems, and leaves a positive, lasting impact for future generations.
