day 1 :

  • Depart from Baños to the entrance of Sangay National Park

  • Hike through the scenic Collanes Valley to the refuge

  • Set up camp and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch

  • Explore the surrounding area and take in the stunning landscapes an end the day with a specially prepared dinner

  • day 2 :

    • Start the day with breakfast before packing up

    • Hike for two hours to El Pedregal and set up camp

    • Have lunch and rest before heading to Laguna Amarilla

    • Explore the picturesque crater lake, located at 13,808 feet

    day 3

    • Enjoy a hearty breakfast before beginning the descent

    • Hike back to the park’s entrance, appreciating the final views of El Altar

    • Return to Baños

  • Specialized high-mountain bilingual guide, transportation, muleteer, accommodations in a refuge, meals.**Tips for guides NOT included.
    **Please NOTE : there is no energy at the refuge  

  • Warm, comfortable and water-proof clothing, change of clothes for three days, water-proof hiking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, flashlight, power bank, snacks, reusable water bottle.
