day 1 :
Depart from Baños or Quito (or Latacunga on some days) for a 4-hour scenic drive to Cotopaxi National Park, one of Ecuador’s most iconic volcanoes.
Enjoy breathtaking Andean views as your certified mountain guide shares insights about the landscapes and local wildlife.
Arrive at 4,800 m (15,748 ft) and begin a 30-minute acclimatization hike to the José Rivas Refuge (4,864 m / 15,958 ft).

Have lunch at the refuge, followed by a climbing technique briefing and glacier practice session with your guide.
Dinner and rest before the midnight ascent of Cotopaxi Volcano
day 2:
Around midnight, enjoy a light breakfast and final gear check before starting your Cotopaxi summit climb.
Begin a 7-hour ascent through the icy slopes of the volcano, with incredible views depending on weather and visibility.
Reach the summit at 5,897 m (19,347 ft), an unforgettable achievement and one of the highest active volcanoes in the world.
Descend to the refuge (about 4 hours) and enjoy a well-deserved celebratory meal before your return to Baños or Quito.
