day 1 :

  • Meet your guide and transfer to the community

  • Begin your journey with a traditional Guayusa ceremony. Gather with local families to share dreams, myths, and ancestral stories while drinking this sacred medicinal tea

  • Take part in a symbolic fire ritual, where you’ll be welcomed with a personalized Kichwa name—a meaningful gesture of cultural integration

  • Participate in a cleansing tobacco ceremony, accompanied by ancestral songs that invoke harmony with nature and the spirits.

  • Enjoy a healthy and flavorful breakfast made with local Amazonian ingredients

    • Experience a traditional face painting using achiote, a natural red pigment

    • Walk along a jungle trail guided by a community member, learning how native plants are used for healing, food, and daily life

    • Savor a typical Amazonian meal prepared with fresh, local produce

    • Learn about traditional crafts, watch a presentation of ancestral attire, and try out the cerbatana (blowgun) and ceremonial spear

    • As night falls, explore the forest by torchlight and observe the region’s rich nocturnal wildlife—toucans, monkeys, frogs, tarantulas, jungle piranhas, and more

    day 2

    • Begin the day with another round of the sacred Guayusa ritual. Around the fire, dive deeper into Kichwa cosmovision through the sharing of dreams and ancestral myths

    • Get painted with wituk, a natural black dye used for temporary body tattoos

    • Participate in the Sikta ceremony, a feminine ancestral ritual of purification and gratitude

    • Enjoy a hearty breakfast with freshly prepared local products

    • Go canoeing along winding rivers, explore hidden jungle waterfalls

    • Experience a traditional Amazonian purification ritual, releasing stress and negativity through aromatic plants and chants

    • Let loose with a jungle Tarzan swing, followed by a scenic hike to panoramic viewpoints with breathtaking forest views

    • Delight in another delicious Amazonian meal

    • Take part in hands-on craft sessions—make your own yasa or dreamcatcher—and learn local dances and legends passed down through generations

    day 3

    • Participate in a final ceremony with the sacred Guayusa plant

    • Tobacco cleansing ritual

    • Enjoy a delicious breakfast

    • Embark on an adventurous survival walk. Learn to recognize edible plants, build traps, plant jungle crops, make camps using leaves, and discover natural pools, jungle clay, and shampoo plants

    • Return to the community for the lunch

    • End your journey with a fun volleyball match with your host family

    • End of the experience and return to Puyo
