day 1 :

You arrive at a remote, family-run jungle lodge surrounded by pristine rainforest. Built with local materials and powered partly by solar energy, the lodge offers private rooms, river views, and direct access to wildlife-rich trails. The lodge is managed by a local Amazonian community that chose ecotourism as a way to protect their territory, culture, and biodiversity. Your stay directly supports education, conservation, and community projects inside Yasuní National Park.

day 2 :

Wake up early for sunrise breakfast before traveling upriver to a parrot and parakeet clay lick. From the canoe, observe several species gathering to feed on mineral-rich clay.

Later, hike through primary rainforest in search of endemic monkeys, giant trees, and diverse birdlife. In the afternoon, cross the Napo River into the Cuyabeno region, exploring narrow jungle trails alive with macaws, tamarins, frogs, and forest sounds. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and relaxation.

  • day 3 :

Spend the morning hiking deeper into Yasuní National Park, one of the most species-rich ecosystems on the planet. Spot poison dart frogs, spider monkeys, sakis, and golden-mantled tamarins while learning about the complex rainforest ecosystem.

In the afternoon, reach a 40-meter canopy tower offering panoramic views over the Amazon treetops and the Napo River. Watch birds and monkeys moving through the canopy before returning by lagoon at night to search for caimans, whose eyes glow in the darkness.

    day 4 :

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Panacocha Lagoon, a vast blackwater lake known for exceptional wildlife density. Look for birds, monkeys, and possibly pink river dolphins.

After a picnic lunch, try piranha fishing, a classic Amazon experience. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

    day 5 :

After breakfast, embark on a peaceful kayaking journey along the Napo River and its connected lagoons. Paddle through calm blackwater channels beneath overhanging trees filled with birds and monkeys. The pace adapts to the group, allowing time to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

    day 6 :

Visit two different macaw clay licks, where you may see Scarlet, Blue-and-Yellow, Red-and-Green Macaws, parrots, and parakeets feeding together.

In the afternoon, explore a river island, a safe refuge for birds isolated from land predators. Expect excellent birding opportunities including toucans, kingfishers, woodpeckers, herons, and parrots. End the day relaxing at the lodge before dinner.

    day 7 :

After a final sunrise breakfast, travel back upriver to Coca by motorized canoe. Transfer to the airport or city center marks the end of your Yasuní rainforest adventure.
