day 1 :

The journey begins upon arrival in Coca, where you will be met by your guide. A short land transfer takes you to the Napo River, followed by a scenic three-hour motorized canoe ride into the heart of the Amazon.
A short walk leads to Challwacocha Creek, where paddle canoes navigate flooded blackwater forest. Monkeys, birds, and aquatic wildlife are commonly seen before arriving at the lodge.

You will arrive at a community-owned ecolodge surrounded by pristine rainforest. The lodge offers private cabins, solar energy, and peaceful lake views, creating a close connection with nature. Managed by a Kichwa community, tourism here supports local livelihoods, education, conservation efforts, and women-led artisan initiatives.

After settling into your cabin, enjoy a welcome drink and take a guided walk or canoe excursion near the lodge to spot primates, birds, caimans, and diverse Amazonian flora. Dinner is served at the lodge, featuring fresh local ingredients and dietary-friendly options. After nightfall, enjoy a guided canoe ride on the lagoon in search of the endangered black caiman.

  • day 2 :

Early in the morning, cross the lagoon by paddle canoe to reach the 36-meter canopy tower built around a centuries-old kapok tree. From above the forest, observe parrots, macaws, toucans, monkeys, and sloths moving through the treetops.

Later, try traditional piranha fishing before returning to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon offers time to relax at the dock, enjoy the hammocks, or take a guided nature walk through primary rainforest to learn about medicinal plants and ancient trees.

After dinner, a night walk reveals insects, frogs, tarantulas, and nocturnal mammals.

    day 3 :

Travel by canoe to a parrot and parakeet clay lick inside Yasuní National Park, where colorful flocks gather in the early morning. Continue with a guided rainforest walk in one of the most biodiverse areas on Earth.

Later, visit a nearby Kichwa community center, where local women share ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants and Amazonian cuisine. Enjoy a hands-on cooking experience and the opportunity to support community-led artisan projects.

Return to the lodge in the afternoon to relax and enjoy sunset views over the lagoon.

    day 4 :

After breakfast, visit a ceremonial center led by a Kichwa shaman. Learn about Amazonian cosmovision and participate in a traditional spiritual cleansing using medicinal plants and ancestral rituals designed to restore balance and well-being.

After lunch, return by canoe to Coca.
