day 1 :
Meet in Quito o Lago Agrio and transfer to the entrance of the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Begin your Amazon journey with a scenic canoe ride along the Cuyabeno River, spotting wildlife along the way. Arrive at the lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, explore Laguna Grande, swim in its calm waters, and enjoy a spectacular sunset with pink dolphins. After dinner, join a guided night walk to discover the rainforest’s nocturnal life.
day 2 & 3 :
Wake up to the sounds of the Amazon and set out on guided rainforest hikes along the river, learning about giant trees, medicinal plants, and diverse wildlife. After lunch and time to relax at the lodge, enjoy afternoon canoe excursions to Laguna Grande with opportunities to swim and observe dolphins. In the evening, embark on a night canoe safari in search of black caimans and other nocturnal species.

day 4 :
Travel by canoe to visit a Siona Indigenous community. Learn about their culture, traditions, and ancestral knowledge, participate in preparing casabe, and enjoy a traditional Amazonian lunch. Meet with a local shaman to learn about spiritual practices and healing rituals before returning to the lodge with chances for more wildlife sightings.day 5 :
Start the day with an early morning canoe trip for birdwatching along the riverbanks. Optional kayaking on the blackwater river and a final visit to one of Cuyabeno’s iconic lagoons. After breakfast, return by canoe to the park entrance and transfer back to Lago Agrio or Quito.

Transportation from Cuyabeno bridge to the Ecolodge and back, boat transport to the Ecolodge, accommodation, 3 meals a day (except breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day), boots and rain ponchos for excursions, tea and purified filtered water, electricity for charging batteries, daily explorations with guides, including equipment and canoes, bilingual guides (English/Spanish).

Lightweight, long-sleeved clothing to protect from mosquitoes and sun, aterproof jacket, comfortable footwear for walking, andals or water shoes for canoe rides and swimming, swimsuit hat and sunglasses for sun protection, insect repellent, sunscreen, personal toiletries (biodegradable soap, toothpaste, etc.), camera, reusable water bottle, small backpack for day excursions, flashlight/headlamp, waterproof bag, binoculares highly recommended.
